They boast a strong track record of award-winning projects and continue to set new benchmarks in sustainable construction across the UK.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nAs an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will initially oversee commercial packages on a £50m new build residential scheme in Leeds.

You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects ensuring comprehensive compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining strict budgetary control. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the efficient and successful delivery of the development to the highest standards.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nExperience:\n\nExtensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a Senior Quantity Surveyor position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractor\nPrevious experience in delivering commercial packages on projects within residential / accommodation sectors\nA proven portfolio of delivering commercial packages on projects in excess of £20mKey Skills:\n\nIT skills\nEffective time management\nSuperb negotiation capabilities\nAnalytical and Mathematical skills\nExcellent sales and presentation skills\nProficient in the relevant software tools\nAbility to multitask and prioritise projects\nStrong communication and attention to details\nA strong understanding of construction laws and regulations\nThe ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the project\nA solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniquesKey Responsibilities\n\nProcurement operations\nReview of tender cost provisions\nReporting regularly to the Commercial Manager\nCompiling material usage and reconciliation reports\nEvaluate and compare bids from contractors and suppliers\nAssess the cost-effectiveness of alternative design solutions\nMentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and other team members\nApply efficient and dependable cost control techniques and strategies\nOversee cash flow and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders\nSet up systems for cost reporting to efficiently track and control project expenses\nDirect negotiation efforts and mediate disagreements toward collaborative outcomes\nEnforce compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices\nConduct detailed cost analyses and thorough feasibility studies for proposed projects\nAttend project meetings, offering expert guidance and insights on cost-related matters\nManage and oversee project expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints\nMaintain up to date, precise records of all financial transactions and project documentation\nSupervise the financial effects of design modifications and negotiate any necessary revisions\nCollaborate closely with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors\nCreate cost plans and forecasts to ensure efficient budget management throughout the project lifecycle\nPrepare comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for the project and integrate them into the planning phase\nComplete financial reconciliations and preserve supporting documentation to ensure seamless project closure\nMonitor cost and financial risks related to the project and apply strategies to address and mitigate potential issues\nNegotiate and secure contract agreements with contractors and suppliers in accordance with project scope and budget\nMaintain strict alignment with contractual commitments and project specifications, ensuring seamless delivery in line with client expectationsWhy Join?\n\nGain experience with modern construction methods\nPlay a key role in delivering high-quality, energy-efficient accommodation that set new industry standards\nGreat opportunity to join an award-winning, innovative construction company leading the way in sustainable residential projectsContact Details:\n\nContact: James Shorte (Associate Director) or Emily O'Grady (Executive Senior Resourcer) at Caval - (phone number removed)\n\nOr send your CV to
