Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor specialising in demolition, groundworks and land remediation projects across the South East. Based in Barking, you will play a key role in managing project costs from tender through to final account, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all commercial aspects of ongoing projects
* Prepare, submit, and negotiate tenders and contracts
* Conduct cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering
* Track project variations and valuations
* Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure financial control
* Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the demolition, groundworks, land remediation, and civils sectors
* Strong understanding of NEC and JCT forms of contract
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Full UK driving licence
