We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced NMC registered nurse to join our friendly and dynamic team as a Community Staff Nurse here at the Children's Bladder and Bowel Service (CBABS).
We are a small and friendly team who work directly with children, young people and their family/carers. Our patients are aged between 2 and 18 years, and have ongoing bladder and bowel dysfunction. Our main focus is to promote continence, by utilising and promoting evidence-based care.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children, young people and their families in the community setting. They will have a good understanding of children with additional needs. They will also have strong communication skills and ability to problem solve.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft and proficient in using Electronic Care Records such as EMIS.
Based in Witney the team provide face to face clinics across Oxfordshire.
Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.
Main duties of the job
To support the delivery of a commissioned Children’s Bladder and Bowel Service for children, young people and their families registered with an Oxfordshire GP aged between 2 and 18 years.
Undertake delegated interventions, which are family focussed to improve and meet the needs, reduce inequalities and safeguard of children and young people.
Support Children and Young People to achieve their individual optimum levels of continence.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships with external services and other agencies

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To deliver group based workshops to families promoting Toilet Skills Development.
* To support families with First Line Fluid Advice through face to face clinic appointments.
* To provide clear individualised advice to the child, family, professionals, and care workers.
* To review children receiving continence products on annual basis.
