An outstanding specialist school in Maidenhead is hiring a Therapy Assistant to join their team on a full‑time basis beginning ASAP. The school operates with a therapeutic, child‑based approach, fostering a safe and positive environment for students age 4‑16 diagnosed with autism and supporting co‑existing needs such as speech and language, communication, behaviour and social‑emotional development.
Responsibilities
The role is primarily 1:1 based, allowing you to provide focused support and attention to students daily in the classroom. You will work within a therapeutic intervention support system, receiving full training, and support the students day‑to‑day to help them reach their goals and targets. A calm, positive approach and strong encouragement will be essential.
Qualifications & Experience
Excellent opportunity for psychology graduates. No formal experience is required, but a genuine desire to support and empower children with autism and related needs is essential.
