Job Description
Pepper Advantage is one of the leading loan servicing companies in the UK, and we are currently recruiting for an Property & Mortgage Servicing Senior Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team in Uxbridge, London.
You will assist in the leadership, management and development of the Property Services department, implementing a business as usual approach in the absence of the Manager. There will be daily interaction with third party suppliers and colleagues in order to deliver successful solutions to customers and the company.
As a Property & Mortgage Servicing Senior Specialist, your key responsibilities will be:-
* Contributing to the development, provision and maintenance of a high-quality property asset management function, working on repossessions and receivership cases and assisting in due diligence and contract variation processes.
* Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), for business queries, and in contributions to projects as required.
* Assisting the Property Services Manager on reporting requirements, general administration matters and the preparation and implementation of procedures.
* Liaising with Clients to ensure their requirements are being adhered to and attending governance meetings where necessary.
* Building working relationships with all relevant third-party suppliers, including asset managers, solicitors, estate agents, valuers, insurers and auctioneers.
* To ensure all new Contract Variation requests have the required documentation and as per policy and criteria
* To assess credit reports, proof of income, bank statements and any other relevant supporting documentation to build an accurate before and after income and expenditure assessment for each customer
* To be able to explain and evidence the outcome rationale for each individual decision made
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience within the mortgage industry
* Sound knowledge and experience of underwriting
* Good foundation and understanding of the life cycle of residential mortgages
* Able to analyse problems, think creatively, and make effective decisions in the appropriate timescale
* A good understanding of regulatory requirements and the impact these have on the business
* Good decision making skills
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
* Holding or working towards CeMap 1,2 or 3 is desirable but not essential
Additional Information:
The initial training period of three to six months will be based in the Uxbridge office five days a week, after which there will be an opportunity to work from home up to two days a week.
