We are Active Care Group, the leading provider of complex care. Within the Care in the Home division, we support adults with spinal cord injuries to live independently.
We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker at our client's care package in Burry Port.
When you'll be working:
* 3 x day shifts a week
* 7am-8pm
* 39 hours a week
* Full Time
What you'll be doing:
This role involves supporting our male client with a spinal cord injury in his own home and out in the community, enabling him to lead an independent and active lifestyle. Responsibilities include moving and handling, personal care, domestic duties, and driving his vehicle.
Our client enjoys an active lifestyle, such as long walks, bike rides, and regular day trips exploring South Wales's outdoors, including coastal paths. Ideal candidates will share this passion.
When not outdoors, the client works on various projects indoors. He also enjoys painting and has interests in health and wellbeing, fitness, healthy eating, and cooking.
Since part of the role involves taking the client out, you must be a driver to operate the client's vehicle.
No previous experience required as full training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support will be provided.
