Product Support Specialist - Manual & Robotic - Northeast Scotland, Aberdeen (12 month fixed term contract - MAT Leave cover)
Position Summary:
To grow Stryker's Joint Replacement business by promoting Hip and Knee products to Orthopaedic Surgeons and optimizing customer service, growing existing accounts through technical expertise.
The Product Support Specialist – Manual & Robotic provides clinical product support to end users along with guidance and assistance during Mako surgical procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Demonstrates outstanding ethics, treats customers and employees with respect, and represents the company positively.
* Communicates the benefits of products and their clinical applications effectively.
* Acts with integrity and delivers on commitments within required timescales.
* Constructs basic business plans with input from mentors/managers and plans daily, weekly, and monthly activities in collaboration with the team.
* Develops rapport and uses open questioning to understand customer needs, leveraging knowledge of key brands to open sales opportunities.
* Uses troubleshooting to grow and protect the business.
* Understands stakeholder decision-making processes and asks appropriate questions to identify stakeholders.
* Works under supervision, keeps supervisors informed, and aims to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
* Supports existing customers to maintain satisfaction, develops strategies to strengthen Stryker's position, and collaborates with sales and other departments.
* Communicates effectively with customers, analyzes market observations, addresses challenges, and participates in organizational meetings.
* Manages customer data using CRM tools.
Clinical/Technical Expertise:
* Provides front-line support to surgeons and hospital staff before, during, and after surgeries.
* Trains surgeons and staff in the use of the Mako robot, including setup, breakdown, and intra-operative activities.
* Prepares pre-operative CT scans, assists with implant planning, and troubleshoots technical issues.
* Collaborates with Field Service to resolve technical problems and maintains knowledge of implants, instrumentation, and robotic applications.
* Completes necessary training and certifications for robotic and manual procedures.

Qualifications/Experience:
* 0-1 years sales experience with a relevant diploma; higher education preferred.
* Market knowledge and medical background are advantageous.
