The Role
* Investigating complaints and breaches of environmental legislation, including noise, odour, and light pollution
* Conducting inspections and surveys to assess environmental conditions
* Providing advice and guidance to businesses and residents on compliance with environmental regulations
* Gathering evidence and preparing reports for enforcement action
* Collaborating with other agencies and organisations to address environmental issues
* You will work under the guidance of the Principal Environmental Health Officer and be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering high‑quality public protection services.
Qualifications
* Relevant experience in environmental enforcement or a similar role
* Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
* Strong investigative and problem‑solving abilities
* Environmental Health qualification (desirable)
