Summary:
The Project Engineer oversees project delivery, ensuring site works are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, liaising with supply chain, and supporting the Project Manager for successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and analyze contract documents, project plans, and specifications.
* Coordinate with departments and stakeholders to meet project milestones.
* Assist in scheduling and conducting project review meetings.
* Report on project status, issues, and solutions to the Project Manager.
* Communicate with customers and stakeholders to ensure progress and resolve issues.
Project Management Support:
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Monitor contract variations and report changes.
* Prepare progress reports and maintain documentation.
* Manage project budgets and forecast delivery.
* Support warranty management and supervise subcontractors.
* Assist in developing the Construction Phase Plan and oversee site mobilization.
* Review Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure safety compliance.
* Manage logistics and site operations for timely material delivery.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and safety rules.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience in engineering or project management, especially in construction or infrastructure.
* Familiarity with NEC contract conditions.
* CSR Gold Card and First Aid at Work certification.
Skills & Abilities:
* Strong communication skills across technical and commercial stakeholders.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, and ERP systems.
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Attention to detail and compliance focus.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment is advantageous.
* Teamwork skills and CAD experience are beneficial.
Travel & Flexibility:
* Travel within Northern Ireland for site visits.
* Occasional overnight stays with planning.
* Role involves office and site work, with accommodations for disabilities.
