SVP Systems Ltd is a small, friendly business that's been trading for over 20 years (previously as a Partnership). It is a growing business supporting individuals and businesses around the Gloucester, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare areas, both on-site and remotely. Role Description This is a full-time role for an Information Technology Support Engineer at SVP Systems Ltd. Working either a 09:00-17:00 or 08:00-16:00 day depending on the requirement. The role will involve travelling to and working from customers premises as well as remote support from home. The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for undertaking the following duties: The role is responsible for a wide range of tasks such as Providing telephone and email support Diagnosing and resolving hardware or software faults Upgrading, repairing and setting up new hardware Monitoring backup, Antivirus and Patch Management systems Actively participating in receiving, troubleshooting, resolving and escalation of daily support incidents/requests received via ticketing system General AD and M365 user creation and modifications General server room and infrastructure maintenance Maintaining customer machines, installing software and updates to ensure they are fully patched and resolving any known vulnerabilities Supporting users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice Liaise with 3rd part support partners to resolve issues Maintain a high degree of customer service General Requirements Full UK driving licence Previous experience in an IT Support environment Good general IT skills and knowledge Proficiency with Operating systems like MS Windows and Server Experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues Microsoft AD and M365 familiarity Solid understanding of network principles and network troubleshooting Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong communication and customer service skills Smart and presentable at all times Relevant IT certifications and knowledge in setting up and maintaining virtualised environments would be beneficial
