 
        
        Dudley Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
Black Country Women’s Aid is looking for a dedicated Domestic Violence Advisor to support victims in Dudley. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and based in Dudley.
Key Details
 * Position: 1 full‑time (37.5 hours)
 * Salary: £24,310.04 – £27,751.55 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
 * Closing date: 12 November 2025
 * Interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams
Key Responsibilities
 * Provide frontline domestic‑abuse support to victims at high risk of harm.
 * Assess risk levels, advise on options and develop tailored safety plans to protect victims and their children.
 * Advocate on the victim’s behalf and respond/report to Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).
 * Offer empowerment support, recognising abuse dynamics through one‑to‑one and group work.
 * Manage a caseload while upholding safeguarding principles for children and adults.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Qualified or unqualified IDVA (training may be provided).
 * Experience supporting domestic‑abuse victims and managing caseloads.
 * Good understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
 * Strong knowledge of domestic‑abuse dynamics and empowerment strategies.
 * The post holder must be female.
 * Right to work in the UK, DBS check, references to be provided.
