Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Fit Out
London | £30,000 - £50,000 + Package
An established commercial interiors and fit-out contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality CAT A & CAT B office fit-out projects across London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated QS to develop their career within a fast-paced, design-led environment.
You will work closely with a Senior QS / Commercial Manager, gaining hands‑on exposure to live projects and full commercial lifecycle responsibilities.
The Role
* Support the commercial management of multiple commercial office fit-out projects
* Assist with procurement of subcontractor packages including drylining, ceilings, partitions, finishes and MEP interfaces
* Prepare and assist with interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Carry out take-offs and measurements from drawings
* Support cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
* Review subcontractor applications and assist with payment processing
* Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
* Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
* Attend site meetings and assist with commercial reporting
About You
* 1-4 years' experience in a QS or Assistant QS role
* Background in commercial fit-out, interiors, refurbishment, or subcontracting preferred
* Strong understanding of measurement, procurement and cost control
* Confident communicator with a proactive, organised approach
* Degree or studying towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
* Keen to progress and develop within a commercial fit-out environment
