Health Care Support Worker – Renal (HCSW Band 3) – NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
Post Information: Post: HCSW Band 3 0.85 WTE – Outpatient Haemodialysis
Location: Stobhill Hospital, Renal Dialysis Unit
Working pattern: Monday – Saturday long days (31.57 days per month)
Salary: Pro‑Rata for part‑time hours
Responsibilities
* Support trained staff in the safe delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care for patients undergoing haemodialysis.
* Assist with clinical procedures and equipment, adhering to infection prevention and control procedures.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and team members to maintain a friendly and welcoming outpatient environment.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient daily unit operations.
Qualifications & experience
* Relevant knowledge of renal dialysis care and infection control.
* Ideally, interest or experience in renal medicine.
* Previous experience working within the NHS is preferred; evidence of ongoing learning is desirable.
* Willingness and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
