Position Overview
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs? We are looking for a dedicated Remote Special Education Teacher to join our mission-driven team!
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver personalized instruction in reading, writing, math, and social skills to students with IEPs using virtual platforms like Zoom and Google Classroom.
* Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with NH state standards and student goals.
* Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
* Utilize data-driven tools to monitor student progress, track growth, and adjust instruction as needed.
* Provide behavior intervention support and create learning experiences that promote student independence.
* Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, parents/guardians, and administrators to ensure comprehensive support.
* Participate in IEP meetings, student support team meetings, and parent-teacher conferences, both virtually and occasionally in person.
* Assist with testing accommodations as outlined in IEPs.
* Stay updated on best practices in special education, assistive technologies, and remote instruction tools.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
* Valid NH special education teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
* Minimum of 2 years of special education teaching experience.
* Proficiency with virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, LMS systems).
* Strong knowledge of NH Special Education regulations and federal IDEA guidelines.
* Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and collaborative.
Preferred:
* Master's degree in Special Education or Educational Leadership.
* Experience with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), RTI, and positive behavior supports.
* Familiarity with assistive technology software (e.g., text-to-speech, AAC tools).
* Training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Reading Recovery, Wilson, or Orton-Gillingham.
