SEN Teaching Assistant - Cheltenham
Your local Cheltenham Primary School is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their friendly team on a full-time basis from September 2024. The role involves supporting pupils with emotional and physical disabilities, including ASD, muteness, Autism, Dyslexia, and motor issues, both academically and emotionally, to foster independence and life skills.
Role Details:
1. Full-time, 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term time only).
2. Experience with ASD/Autism preferred (Level 2 qualification desirable).
3. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
4. Providing 1:1 support to KS1/KS2 students to access the mainstream curriculum.
5. Starting September 2024.
6. Daily pay rate: £83.33 - £90.
Responsibilities:
Adapting tasks from lesson plans and implementing KS2 curriculum using techniques such as “Now and Next” boards, flashcards, and other out-of-classroom tools.
