Job Description
Our client, a leading water sector specialist are seeking Mechanical Fitters to work in the water industry. Ideally candidates will have previous water sector experience. But the client will consider candidates with a relevant industrial background and relevant experience working on plant equipment/assets.
Sponsorship cannot be offered for this role, applicants must have full RTW in the UK.
This is a van based role, primarily based in the East Midlands.
Package Details
* £16.50p/hour
* Role is paid door-door
* Additional uplift for working away from home
* OT available, paid at x1.5 up to Saturday noon. paid at x2 thereafter
* Van provided
* Site hours 7-3, salary based on a 40 hour working week
* Call out is required as part of this role
Responsibilities:
1. Install and maintain mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves and bearings.
2. Fit and install steel support systems as needed.
3. Troubleshoot and perform fault-finding on mechanical equipment.
4. Assist electricians or civil engineers with tasks as required.
5. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety procedures and company policies, including following Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments on-site.
6. Understand and sign all CPP/RAMS documentation before starting work on-site.
