You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s leading highway maintenance contractor. Our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions, offering a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
What will you be doing?
* Advising, guiding, and coaching all personnel on the implementation of the company System (MIMS).
* Providing advice on contract/project compliance with MIMS and statutory provisions.
* Supporting the contract/project team on competency requirements in line with MIMS.
* Advising on the production, implementation, and review of HSW.
* Reporting all incidents in line with the incident investigation procedure on MIMS, and escalating significant incidents immediately.
* Conducting incident investigations, identifying preventative measures, and sharing lessons learned.
* Performing HSW audits and inspections as scheduled, recording findings/actions on Procore.
* Participating in the development, review, update, and rollout of HSW processes and procedures within MIMS. Supporting business development efforts when requested.
What you’ll bring
* Previous experience in health and safety.
* Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* Technician or Graduate membership of IOSH.
* Desirable: Working towards chartered membership of IOSH.
* NEBOSH Diploma / National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work.
* MSc / PGD in Occupational Health & Safety Management or equivalent.
