We are looking to recruit a Technical Inspector to work here at Royal Cornwall Hospital.
This is a permanent full-time position.
The Department of Clinical Technology (DCT) manages the maintenance of medical devices for RCHT and CFT; the Technical support team, which is a team within DCT, provides selected medical devices, consumables, technical assistance, business and financial support to DCT technician's wards and departments across the 3 RCHT sites and CFT.
DCT team members are expected to be forward-thinking and innovative, can demonstrate a proven track record in supporting change and service improvement, are flexible and adaptable with excellent communication and organizational skills and, most importantly, have unlimited enthusiasm
Main duties of the job
To perform annual technical inspections, including function testing and electrical safety tests on various medical devices throughout the Royal Cornwall Trust and other external customers of the Clinical Equipment Management Service. This work will also include some calibration checks, preventative maintenance and database verification and will be carried out under the guidance of the Team Leader.
Out-of-hours or weekend work may be required.
