Location: Pym Court, Topsham, Exeter. Built in 2022, Pym Court is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 53 apartments with the over 70s in mind, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds.
The Vacancy
McCarthy Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Supervisor to join our team at our prestigious Pym Court development in Topsham, Exeter. This role supports the management and smooth running of a thriving community of active and independent older people, ensuring they get to live their best lives in elegant private apartments with on-hand support as needed.
Hourly rate: £15.00 per hour day rate and £12.24 per hour sleeping night rate. Plus an additional £1 per hour for every hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.
Hours: Shifts on an as and when required basis, to be discussed with the Development Manager. Day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or 16:15 to 09:30. Night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00. Relief Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00 and 07:00 providing emergency support to homeowners during that period.

About You
* You will live within easy commuting distance of our estate.
* You will be warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated with experience in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
* You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification; consideration given to relevant alternative qualifications and experience.
* Keen to take on responsibility for managing security, safety and wellbeing of homeowners, and overseeing Care and Support teams.
* Able to coordinate and facilitate activities that strengthen community spirit within the development.
* Driven to grow skills, lead by example, and think on your feet.
* Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
