Assistant Psychologist for Home Based Treatment Team role at Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Are you a skilled and enthusiastic person with a Psychology degree and experience working with people with mental health difficulties? This Band 4 position is to join the Salford Home Based Treatment Team (HBTT) and support the work of the qualified Clinical Psychologist within the team.
The HBTT is a well-resourced, psychologically informed multidisciplinary team comprising consultant psychiatrists, a clinical psychologist, junior doctors, nurses, social workers, OTs and support workers. The team delivers high quality, evidence-based care to acutely unwell service users.
Responsibilities
* Assist with a wide range of duties including assessment, intervention, and evaluation or audits, under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist.
* Participate in an in-house rolling training programme to ensure delivery of up-to-date, evidence-based interventions; opportunities exist to access and facilitate training as part of the role.
* Be part of a growing Acute Care Psychology offer within Salford and engage with links to local universities, with potential involvement in research.
* Receive high-quality supervision from the Clinical Psychologist and access to a network of clinical psychologists/therapists across services.
* Support informal visits and walk rounds as part of the service provision within the Salford HBTT.
* Work to support the team’s objectives under supervision and with operational support from the HBTT manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Psychology degree and experience working with people with mental health difficulties.

* Pay enhancements: 30% additional for evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays; 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.
