We are seeking a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the Bristol area.
This is a full-time position starting before the Easter holidays at a 2-form entry primary school that values encouraging children to have an inquisitive mindset, take pride in their achievements, and uphold high personal values.
You will help create a learning environment where pupils can expand their knowledge.
The Role
The successful candidate will need to be proactive, energetic, and inspiring, fostering confidence and independence in students. The head teacher is looking for a flexible, creative, and supportive individual who can maintain a calm and consistent environment for learning. You will use your initiative to adapt and develop activities tailored to individual pupils’ needs.
You will be expected to:
* Be a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant
* Have previous experience working with children in a classroom setting
* Be adaptable to enable each child to access the curriculum
* Implement planned activities and adjust them according to students’ responses and development
* Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills
* Support children socially and emotionally
* Collaborate with the school SENCo to support each child's needs
