We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the friendly and dynamic Special Schools team. You will work across Whitefield Special School with a small team of therapists.

Responsibilities
* Deliver care to children, young people and their families in schools and in the clinic setting.
* Work within the established special schools team, providing assessments and delivering intervention to upskill school staff.
* Develop and specialise in areas relating to the caseload, including AAC and ASC.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT places importance on a welcoming induction for new starters. Induction is up to two weeks and includes mandatory training, systems training and equipment allocation. New starters will have opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers and attend sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. Induction is held at the head office in Rainham, Essex.

Qualifications
* Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
* Professional registration
* Significant relevant experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level
* Ability to work collaboratively with parents/carers and other professionals
* Clear clinical reasoning based on evidence-based practice
* Negotiation, problem solving, concentration, analytical and reflection skills

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required. The post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and may require a DBS submission.
