Toolmakers and Tool & Die Maintenance Technicians are involved in the highly skilled, complex, and specialist work of manufacturing and maintaining engineering tooling used to produce components, products, and assemblies.
Wage
£15,704 for your first year, then it could increase depending on your age.

Most of your apprenticeship will be spent working. You’ll learn on the job by gaining hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
* Maintaining transfer press tooling
* Making new tooling
* Diagnosing faults, both dimensional and visual, on customer components
* Making necessary modifications
Where you'll work
Training
Apprenticeships include time away from work for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
* Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
* Training will take place at Burnley College
Requirements
GCSEs in:
Essential qualifications
Maths and English (grade A*-C/9-4)
