Imray is the leading publisher of nautical information for leisure sailors. The company is at a time of exciting change, as we build on our internationally respected range of 100+ printed books and 250 paper charts to grow new digital and data products and services.
The nautical chart department is at the core of our activities and is in the process of a significant content migration/digitisation project, as well as developing future products. Building on strong foundations, we have invested in geospatial production tools including Caris Hydrographic Production Database (HPD) to design and produce our nautical charts and data products.
The role
We’re recruiting a team leader to oversee chart production and development during this exciting period of change. You will be responsible for delivering new and existing product lines on time and budget.
You will work with the Managing Director and Technical Team Lead to plan and implement departmental objectives and timelines. You’ll manage resourcing and organise the production of our range of 250 paper and digital charts. You will oversee a team of cartographers, geospatial data specialists and a print manager, and liaise with external stakeholders including data, software and print suppliers and customers.
You will be a highly organised and motivated production or project manager, preferably with experience in a publishing, mapping/charting or geospatial data company. You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with technical teams, maintain good relationships within the company and with third parties. You'll have the ability to be flexible, adaptive and manage change.
