Join our team and make a lasting impact on young people’s lives! As a Beaver, Cub, Scout, Venture Scout, or Rover Scout Leader, you’ll play a key role in shaping unforgettable experiences for young adventurers.

What you’ll do:
* Organise and lead weekly meetings for your assigned section.
* Plan and participate in exciting activities like outings, hikes, and camps.
* Inspire and support young people as they learn, grow, and explore the world around them.
Who you’ll work with:
* Beaver Leaders: Guide 6–8-year-olds in their first Scouting adventures.
* Cub Scout Leaders: Help 8–11-year-olds build confidence and learn new skills.
* Scout Leaders: Mentor 11–15-year-olds through exciting challenges and activities.
* Venture Scout Leaders: Support 15–18-year-olds in developing leadership and pursuing passions.
* Rover Scout Leaders: Empower 18–26-year-olds to lead and impact their communities.
Please be aware that this is not a one-off role.

We’re looking for volunteers who can give a couple of hours in the evenings, Monday to Friday, for six months. Ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed in your role.

After applying for the role, volunteers will need to complete an application form, undergo Garda Vetting, and provide a reference.

Scouting Ireland aims to develop young people socially, physically, intellectually, morally/ethically, emotionally, and spiritually. These elements are integrated into the Scouting Programme experience.

There are six Provincial Support Staff members within our organisation, and we work directly with local Scout Groups. Our specific area covers the 85 Scout Groups located in Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown, and South Dublin.

Minimum time commitment: 6 months. Hours required: 2 hours weekly.
