Contract Supervisor - Devizes
The Contract Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the contract, planning tasks and resources to ensure a high-quality, efficient, and safe service. You will report to the Contract Manager and may deputise for them when necessary.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Organising staff and teams to deliver the service in line with Glendale Live schedules.
2. Liaising with the Contract Manager on staffing requirements using reports and plans.
3. Monitoring progress and performance using Glendale Live and other company systems.
4. Undertaking quality monitoring of work completed and providing reports.
5. Organising call-outs, out-of-hours, and holiday rotas to ensure sufficient resources.
6. Assisting in the recruitment, selection, and employment of staff, following company procedures and ensuring prompt administration.
7. Managing employee and subcontractor records effectively.
8. Maintaining good employee relations and ensuring clear expectations.
9. Supporting staff training plans to meet compliance and develop skills.
10. Investigating incidents and supporting disciplinary actions.
11. Evaluating and maintaining vehicle and machinery requirements.
12. Ensuring all equipment is safe and checked by qualified staff.
13. Providing information for client reports and attending meetings as needed.
14. Maintaining excellent communication internally, with clients, and the public.
15. Liaising with Client Officers on work programs, technical matters, and issue resolution.
16. Recommending improvements to service standards.
17. Completing workforce timesheets and monitoring holidays for compliance.
18. Providing data and quotations for additional work, overseeing delivery.
19. Participating in health and safety compliance, inspections, and incident reporting.
20. Organising safety meetings and toolbox talks.
21. Supporting environmental standards and ISO 14001 compliance.
22. Deputising for the Contract Manager during absence.
23. Performing any other relevant duties.
Health & Safety responsibilities include:
* Adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act and company policies.
* Carrying out instructions and safety modules.
* Being knowledgeable of safety regulations and promoting safe practices.
Machinery responsibilities include:
* Ensuring correct use and reporting defects.
* Completing maintenance checks and securing equipment.
* Possessing a full, clean driving licence.
