Our Tax Technology team is dynamic and fast-paced team, offering ample scope for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on RSM nationally, with potential to influence on a global scale driving the digital transformation within the Tax business.
As a Tax Technology Assistant Manager in our Birmingham or London office, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the continued development of our internal focused solutions for our Tax Team. You will be key in the end-to-end delivery of multiple tax technology solutions, working closely with our specialist data analytics, data visualisation, and automation teams to bring together the best we have to offer to deliver high-quality and technically robust outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work at all stages of solution development, from raw idea generation, through concept refinement, development, and finally the ultimate rollout to end users.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Building automations, improving processes, making processes more robust, conducting research into emerging technologies, running tests, and identifying what would be useful for the tax department.
* Supporting with the training and upskilling of our tax department to help them make better use of the technology available.
* Work in conjunction with our established data analytics community to ensure technical knowledge and commercial insight gained in any area of tax technology is shared within the wider team and capitalised on to drive new ideas and enhanced solutions to benefit our Tax Team.
* Being proactive and keen to be involved in a variety of technology projects from initiation to rollout.
* Developing an advanced level of technical knowledge through personal development opportunities.
* Working in collaboration across service lines to proactively seek new opportunities.
What we are looking for:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
* Tax technology experience
* Strong knowledge of Python and SQL for data analytics
* Experience and knowledge of tax compliance processes
* Proficiency with typical business technologies such as MS Office.
Desirable
* ATT or equivalent technical qualification
* Alteryx experience and Alteryx certification
* Experience with relational database design and best practice
* Familiarity with Agile development
* Experience of Power BI or other data visualisation products
* Strong understanding of classical ML algorithms
* A Data Analytics and/or Data Science background
* Experience in developing technologies (AI, ML, RPA, etc)
