Principal Mechanical Design Engineer – RSE West Thurrock England, United Kingdom
RSE West Thurrock-based on a permanent basis. Join our Asset Management & Technical Services business platform to support projects across England. You will lead projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards with a strong focus on low‑carbon solutions.
Key Duties
* Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
* Ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
* Develop design deliverables.
* Complete checking and approval processes.
* Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
* Assemble contract works information documents.
* Consider project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
* Liaise with all key stakeholders.
* Implement project change control and programme requirements.
* Serve as Design Lead on allocated projects.
Qualifications
* Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Mechanical design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater is highly desirable.
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary design team.
* Experience of working at all design stages is highly desirable.
* Design management experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
* Full UK driving licence.
