Job description:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment supporting production machinery, automation, and site equipment.
This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced production setting, responsible for ensuring equipment uptime, carrying out fault finding, and supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Electrical and mechanical fault finding on production equipment
* Reactive breakdown response to minimise downtime
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Repair and servicing of machinery, equipment, and site services
* Working with motors, sensors, relays, and control systems
* Basic PLC fault finding and diagnostics (inputs/outputs)
* Installation and commissioning of equipment when required
* Use of hand tools, machine tools, and measuring equipment
* Working in line with health & safety procedures at all times
Required Experience:
* Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
* Experience working in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments
* Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals
* Experience with automated systems or machinery is highly desirable
* Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment advantageous
Qualifications (Desirable):
* City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* 18th Edition (advantageous but not essential)
* Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent) beneficial
