Behaviour Mentor Role Overview: Position: Behaviour Mentor (SEMH) Location: Preston Contract Type: Full Time Rate of Pay: £475.00 - £550.00 per week Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 About the School: Are you a patient, resilient, and nurturing Behaviour Mentor with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are working with a welcoming, inclusive specialist school in Preston seeking a dedicated SEMH Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils who need encouragement, stability, and guidance to thrive in their learning and development. Experience within a classroom is not mandatory, however you must have knowledge and awareness around SEN/SEMH. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will: Work closely with students, understanding their unique needs, and providing targeted assistance during class activities. Implement behaviour management strategies, promoting positive interactions and emotional regulation. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to student development. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor with students who have additional needs is advantageous. Ability to connect with students, demonstrating patience and understanding. Flexibility in responding to individual needs and adjusting teaching methods accordingly. Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
