My client is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to manage their own patch effectively. The Housing Officer will handle Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases alongside tenancy matters. The client understands the pressures of the role and is committed to supporting team members in a comfortable working environment.
The team is looking for an experienced candidate who can hit the ground running and contribute to success alongside knowledgeable peers. Responsibilities include handling minor rent cases initially and passing them on to relevant teams after assessment. The role involves performing all aspects of housing management while providing exceptional housing advice and assistance.
Key Duties Include:
* Managing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases
* Reducing a backlog of void properties
* Having recent experience in Social Housing/Tenancy Management within a Local Authority, including tenancy sign-ups
* Conducting initial rent assessments and delegating minor cases appropriately
* Identifying vulnerable residents and collaborating with partner agencies to ensure safety and tenancy sustainability
* Handling successions, assignments, mutual exchanges, legal issues, court statements, boundary disputes, and property damage
