Salary: Band 3, £25,098 per annum


Location: You will be predominantly based from Bedlington Police Station whilst training is undertaken, then agile (home based as well as the requirement to work from Bedlington Police Station)


Hours/Contract: 37 hours per week, permanent

The role


Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! It takes a great deal of people from different backgrounds, with diverse skills and experience to serve our force area effectively, think you have what it takes to help us make a difference? This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Information Management Department as a PNC Support Services Administrator.


As A PNC Support Services Administrator, you will maintain and update the Police National Computer (PNC) and other internal electronic systems. You will coordinate with colleagues and partner agencies. Manage processes related to force-wide DVLA liaison and inquiries, various types of warrant circulation and monitoring, HM court results/queries, and general enquiries.


What you’ll do



1. Update Systems: Ensure local and national systems are updated timely with accurate information to maintain reliable records and support user requirements. Liaise with stakeholders to minimize risk.

2. Handle Requests: Receive and act on requests from internal departments and external agencies in compliance with legislation and guidelines. Confidently challenge non-compliant requests.

3. Manage Warrants: Create and maintain accurate warrant information on local and national systems. Use initiative to gather additional information for offender apprehension and monitor warrants.

4. Effective Communication: Communicate promptly with colleagues and partners to resolve issues and support effective police and partnership operations.

5. Research and Resolve: Research information for departments to resolve issues on PNC records, including potential duplicates or incomplete adjudications.
