Job Description:
Position Summary
* Project Manager responsible for overseeing the Design and Construction of High Speed Two (HS2) Infrastructure Maintenance Depot located along the London-Birmingham corridor.
* The Project Manager will handle the project from start to finish, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and specification-compliant completion.
* The project includes the Design and Construction of three main buildings: the combined office and light workshop building, and two major Over Track Maintenance buildings.
Location: Southeast England, UK.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Degree/Master's in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
* Experience in construction, project management, or related fields.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Familiarity with project management software and tools.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
Relevant Skills and Competencies:
* Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills for engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
* Experience in building external relationships.
* Significant construction technology knowledge.
* Experience managing Design and Construct projects under NEC Option (desirable).
* Knowledge of temporary works and health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Lead and manage projects ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Establish project objectives, scope, and timelines, and communicate effectively.
* Coordinate planning and design during pre-construction and construction phases.
* Manage resources, monitor costs, and control project budgets.
* Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
* Forecast and adjust work plans as needed to maintain performance.
* Interpret design specifications and collaborate with subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
* Promote health and safety and monitor staff performance.
