The Housing Team are responsible for delivering the Council's statutory housing functions, including the allocation and management of the Councils housing stock, the monitoring and recovery of housing related debt and tenant engagement responsibilities.
Social housing creates accessible and affordable housing for those most in need. It offers people security of tenure and provides a foundation to put down roots, plan for the future and make a house a home.
The postholder will be working as part of a small team of housing professionals committed to providing a high-quality housing management service to a defined area of the county of North Yorkshire.
The postholder will be required to work in partnership with both internal teams and external partners in the delivery of the job requirements.
Some of the key job roles will include providing support, advice and assistance to tenants, in order for them to sustain a tenancy, including assistance with the completion of forms, referrals to other agencies and working across various internal and external departments and agencies to deliver a comprehensive package of personalised support tailored to individual needs. The role will be required to identify proactive innovative solutions to complex issues and conduct in depth casework to achieve positive outcomes.
The job holder will be expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature and scope of the post.
