Automation Technician

Responsibilities
* Install machinery
* Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
* Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications
* Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures
* Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
* Computer-aided design (CAD)
* Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures
* Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications
* Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants
* Test machines and equipment
Education
* College/CEGEP – Information Technology
* Automation Engineering Technology/Technician
* Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Technology / Technician
Experience
* 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
* Experience in manufacturing environment
* Experience with embedded systems, research and development
Skills & Knowledge
* Mastercam CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT
* MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, Project, Word)
* Programmable logic controller (PLC)
* Computer numerical control (CNC) machines
Additional Requirements
* Supervision of 1 to 2 people
* Material: Glass
* Work under pressure, attention to detail, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized
* Ability to work morning/day, evening/shift with overtime
