Are you a passionate and driven solicitor with expertise in Prison Law? Do you thrive on advocating for prisoners’ rights and making a real difference in the justice system?
We are looking for a Prison Law Solicitor to join our committed and experienced legal team. You'll handle a varied and meaningful caseload involving:
• Parole Board hearings (oral and paper)
• Sentence progression issues
• Recall challenges
• Adjudications
• Judicial review and public law matters related to prisoners' rights
What we’re looking for:
• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
• Solid experience in prison law and Legal Aid work
• Strong advocacy skills, particularly in parole hearings
• Knowledge of current legislation, case law and MOJ policies
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage your own caseload independently
