Purpose of the Role

The Head of Sales & Marketing will lead commercial growth across three ambitious businesses within a scaling group. This role owns both strategy and execution — building predictable pipelines, strengthening conversion, and delivering measurable revenue growth across the group.

You will operate at group level, working closely with the Directors to shape priorities, set budgets and drive performance. We are building for the future, and this is a rare opportunity to create and scale growth infrastructure across established and start-up ventures in early years, healthcare and education technology.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Commercial Planning

* Create and lead the group-wide commercial growth strategy, defining positioning, priority audiences, channel strategy and measurable revenue targets.
* Turn strategy into clear quarterly and monthly execution plans, with defined ownership, milestones and KPIs.

Sales Leadership, Pipeline & Conversion

* Design and optimise scalable, repeatable customer acquisition journeys across the group — from enquiry to onboarding — ensuring clarity, consistency and measurable improvement at every stage.
* Embed a culture of responsiveness, follow-up discipline and conversion ownership across all customer-facing teams.
* Support and coach teams involved in conversion (e.g., admissions/enrolment, patient bookings, training sales/admin) to raise confidence and consistency.

Digital & Tech-Led Marketing

* Drive performance across paid and organic channels (PPC/paid social/SEO/content), improving lead quality, conversion and cost efficiency.
* Own and optimise the CRM and marketing tech stack (lead capture, automation, segmentation, reporting dashboards and tracking).
* Introduce a test-and-learn approach to improve results (e.g., website pages, messaging, offers, email journeys).
* Build customer communications (email/SMS/automation) to increase conversion, retention and repeat usage where appropriate.

Budgeting & Performance Management

* Lead sales and marketing budget planning in partnership with the Directors.
* Plan, manage and track campaign budgets and supplier spend, adjusting activity based on performance.
* Produce clear reporting on KPIs and outcomes, such as leads, conversion rates, cost per lead/acquisition, pipeline value, utilisation/occupancy impact, and revenue contribution.

Partnerships & Growth Channels

* Develop partnerships to accelerate growth across the group (employers, community networks, affiliates, strategic partners).
* Build referral and partner pathways for the medical diagnostics business (where appropriate and compliant).
* Strengthen local presence and community engagement for the Early Years Provider, supporting enquiries and conversion at setting level.

Brand, Content & Reputation

* Own proposition messaging and brand consistency across the group, ensuring each business is clearly positioned and differentiated.
* Oversee websites and key customer journeys to ensure they are clear, current and designed to convert.
* Build trust through reputation management: reviews, testimonials, case studies and proof points.

* Drive enquiry growth and materially improve conversion from enquiry → visit → registration, supporting sustainable occupancy and acquisition integration.

Your Heart Scan

* Accelerate bookings through trust-led marketing, strong referral pathways and improved digital conversion. Support the clinic expansion plan by developing scalable marketing, referral and launch frameworks that can be replicated efficiently as new clinics open, ensuring strong utilisation from day one.

Education Training & Software Company

* Lead go-to-market strategy from launch through to early traction, defining clear target audiences, value proposition and pricing strategy. Build scalable funnels from lead generation through to close and onboarding, establishing early proof of impact through case studies, testimonials and measurable outcomes.

Skills & Experience

Essential

* Proven experience leading commercial growth with a track record of delivering significant revenue increases and measurable ROI.
* Strong capability in digital and tech-led sales and marketing, including using CRM/automation and performance channels to build pipeline and improve conversion.
* Demonstrable experience contributing to or leading budget setting, planning and performance reporting.
* Confident communicator who can work closely with the Directors, influencing across teams.
* Hands-on approach: able to build strategy and deliver in a fast-moving environment.

Desirable

* Experience in training/education services, healthcare, childcare/early years, or other trust-based service sectors.
* Experience launching a new product/service and building early traction quickly.
* Partnership development experience (employers, community networks, affiliates, local organisations).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
