Role Purpose: The Transport Administrator supports the daily operations of the transport and logistics department, ensuring accurate record-keeping, delivery coordination, and compliance, particularly with Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage transport documentation including PODs, invoices, and delivery notes.
Process, validate, and archive PODs timely.
Coordinate delivery schedules with drivers and third-party carriers.
Track deliveries and maintain detailed delivery logs.
Update internal systems with transport statuses daily.
Liaise with warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers to resolve queries.
Maintain compliance through accurate filing and documentation.
Assist Operations Manager with transport records for audits.
Prepare weekly and monthly delivery and transport reports.
Escalate unresolved or critical issues to Operations Manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in transport, logistics, or administration preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) advantageous
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Proactive problem-solving mindset
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)
