A recent internal promotion has created a new requirement for an ambitious Finance Manager to strengthen the finance team. This appointment is viewed as a key part of the succession plan and can offer a significant career development opportunity to the successful candidate.
The Finance Director is keen to appoint someone who is pro-active and eager to create and utilise financial information that can really drive performance and support decision making. A key part of the role will involve business partnering with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and create positive solutions across the group. The role will be wide ranging, offering exposure to their manufacturing plant, distribution network and rapidly growing e-commerce offering. They operate multiple IT systems including a fully integrated ERP system and other bespoke packages across the different sites so there is plenty to get your teeth into!
Based at their head office and manufacturing facility you will play a lead role in the production and review of management accounts, supervising the group finance department preparing consolidated financial information and assisting other departments with process improvement. The main responsibilities will be:
Production and review of the management accounts for multiple divisions Supervising central finance and transactional teams to deliver smooth month end reporting Balance sheet review and reconciliation, making necessary provisions Business partnering with department managers to drive change and improvement Analysis of sales, margins, stock and profitability / performance Working across multiple platforms to analyse and reconcile complex data sets Assisting with business unit planning, budgeting and forecasting Supporting continuous improvement of processes and reporting Liaising with external auditors and advisers Mentoring and developing other team members

Suitable candidates for this office-based position must ideally be CIMA / ACCA qualified or strong QBE. Preferably with previous experience from the manufacturing / distribution sector in a Senior Management Accountant, Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner type role along with an appetite to add value and play a visible role in a large, dynamic company.
