Registered Manager – Children’s Home Due to up-and-coming expansion, a rewarding opportunity has arisen, and we are currently looking for Registered Managers for our Children’s Home. Free tea, coffee and milk for tea breaks Annual summer BBQ and Christmas party Pension Scheme Person Specification for the Registered Manager ✅Due to Ofsted Regulations, all employees in our Residential Service must be over 20 years of age. ✅Experience of working in a Senior or Strategic Role within a children’s residential care setting. ✅Excellent organisational skills. Proven ability to lead staff teams and line management experience, including supervisions. ✅Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written ✅Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team ✅Ability to drive and holds a current driving licence Qualifications of the Registered Manager ️NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Children’s Services or working towards, or Social Work Qualification. ️ Previous experience in a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager role in a Residential Children’s Care Setting ️Any relevant or transferrable skills, such as First Aid trained ️Knowledge of the Children Act & Children’s Homes Regulations ️Understanding and knowledge of Therapeutic Approach to Childcare Duties & Responsibilities of the Registered Manager ⭐The role of a Registered Manager is the person with overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the Children’s Home. ⭐Is accountable for the delivery of a high quality of service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base. ⭐Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children with their physical, psychological, emotional & social development. ⭐Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Regulations, and Letombo Limited policies ⭐Maintain accurate register of admissions, transitions, and discharges ⭐Oversee staffing levels, rota coverage, and recruitment in liaison with HR ⭐Lead and support staff in delivering person-centred care aligned with the Statement of Purpose ⭐Update and improve key documents (Statement of Purpose, Young Person’s Guide, policies) ⭐Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, training, and performance management ⭐Ensure adherence to Children’s Homes Regulations, Children Acts, and safeguarding procedures ⭐Implement Ofsted recommendations and complete Regulation 45 reports on time ⭐Notify Local Authorities of significant events and physical interventions within 24 hours ⭐Promote sensitive, inclusive care that meets each child’s holistic needs ⭐Coordinate multidisciplinary input with social workers, health, education, and police ⭐Ensure quality assurance processes, audits, and Regulation 44 actions are completed ⭐Represent the service at panels, strategy groups, and professional meetings ⭐Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and care plan documentation ⭐Ensure staff training is up to date, including Level 5 Leadership & Management ⭐ Participate in on-call duties and attend management/community meetings ⭐Manage budget, compliance, and overall home performance ⭐Safeguard children effectively and respond to crises with appropriate support ⭐Promote professional standards and continuous development across the team ⭐Ensure regulatory registration and timely data reporting to stakeholders ⭐Encourage children’s engagement in activities, hobbies, and personal development ⭐Undertake additional duties as required to meet service needs
