About The Role
We are recruiting for a Care Team Leader at our supported living service based in Newport to support the Service Manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift.
You will work in a proactive, responsive, effective, and person-centred way to ensure that the lives of the people you and the team support are enriched and that they are able to be the best they can be.
The team provides practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want.

The Role
* The Team Leader will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower their team in supporting the people they support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
* You will support the development and skills of Support Workers, including recruitment, induction, supervisions, annual appraisals, training, coaching, rota management, and managing sickness and absence.
* Lead Support Workers to understand their responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led support and care. You will conduct evidence-based supervisions and observations, and support your team in competency-based appraisals.
* Assist the Service Manager/Deputy Manager in managing transitions into and from the service. Liaise professionally with outside agencies and ensure appropriate sharing of information. Ensure all support/care plans are person-centred and updated as needed.
* Oversee and support the development of quality within the service. Maintain excellent service user records and empower service users to live their lives in their preferred manner.
