School Welfare Officer – Primary School
Location: Haringey, North London
Part-Time Monday to Friday, 10:15am – 2:45pm Term Time Only

Must have school experience & valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
A warm and well-organised primary school in Haringey is seeking a School Welfare Officer to join their team immediately. This vital, part-time role is focused on providing first aid and welfare support to pupils, while contributing to safeguarding, attendance, and administrative functions during the school day.
Job Role:
As a key member of the school office team, the Welfare Officer will ensure pupils receive prompt and effective medical care, support attendance processes, and assist with day-to-day school operations. This is an ideal role for someone with experience in school settings who is looking for a part-time position within a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first aid and welfare support to pupils
Manage and report accidents, injuries, and medical incidents
Liaise with parents/carers regarding pupil health and wellbeing
Monitor and record pupil attendance and punctuality
Maintain medical and welfare records using SIMS
Support the school’s safeguarding and child protection procedures
Assist with general administrative tasks as required
Coordinate emergency medical care when necessaryCandidate Requirements:
At least 3 months’ experience working in a school setting
A valid First Aid qualification (paediatric)
Confident using SIMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, caring, and professional manner
Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undertake trainingThe School:
