Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Level 1 Support Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their IT career and technical skills in a fast-paced MSP environment with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
You will be the first point of contact for clients, helping resolve IT issues, logging tickets, and escalating where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote tools
* Log, manage, and resolve support tickets in line with SLAs
* Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues
* Assist with user account management (e.g. Microsoft 365, Active Directory)
* Support desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues
* Escalate complex issues to senior engineers where required
* Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions
Skills & Experience
* Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in a helpdesk or support environment
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and basic networking
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (option for overtime)
* Optional weekend work available (additional pay or time in lieu)
Working Arrangement
* During probation: Office-based 4 days per week, with Mondays working from home
* After successful completion of probation: Minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with flexibility to choose your office days
