Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and become one of our Supporting Volunteers. You will be supporting the launch of our Cycle Library in Miles Platting. The Cycle Library gives people in the community the opportunity to loan recycled bicycles, encouraging cycling and promoting wellbeing benefits of being active along our waterways.
You will meet a variety of people while welcoming visitors to the Cycle Library and attending outreach events to show community members how they can participate. As a Supporting Volunteer, you will feel part of the team, helping to accept or collect donated bicycles and thanking supporters of the scheme.
There will be opportunities to learn about various subjects and assist with activities such as basic bicycle maintenance, library administration (including registering new members, completing loan agreements, data collection, and gathering feedback from users).
You will be an ambassador for Canal & River Trust & the Cycle Library, using your skills to help the community benefit from free, green transport options and enjoy cycling for fun and fitness!
