Overview
We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Excellence Change Agent to join a global engineering and manufacturing organisation within its Engineered Plastics division. This site based role in Bridgwater will play a key part in driving continuous improvement, operational excellence and change initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities of a Manufacturing Excellence Change Agent
* Lead and develop the Manufacturing Excellence programme at site level
* Support the Operations Manager and senior leadership team with project identification, prioritisation, selection and reporting
* Lead and support process improvement projects using Manufacturing Excellence and Lean tools
* Support Project Sponsors and Project Managers through project chartering, valuation and reporting
* Identify, benchmark and share best practice across other business units
* Deliver Manufacturing Excellence skills training to plant associates
* Track cost saving and strategic projects using relevant reporting tools
* Carry out annual value stream mapping and develop detailed improvement plans
* Support maturity assessments and ongoing improvement in collaboration with senior stakeholders
Key Skills and Experience Required
* Technical, engineering or manufacturing qualification desirable
* Proven experience in Lean manufacturing is essential
* Strong project management mindset with experience managing both projects and portfolios
* Extensive stakeholder management experience
* Strong change management capability
* Broad technical knowledge and a structured, results driven approach
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence, motivate and drive change
Additional Information
* This role is primarily based at Bridgwater with some home working available.
* Travel of approximately 5 to 20 days per year to UK and overseas sites may be required
