About the Project: You will be working on a major highways upgrade, involving substantial earthworks, complex structures, and significant utility diversions. This is a challenging and rewarding project offering exposure to a wide range of engineering activities. About the Role: As a Freelance Site Engineer, you will be responsible for: Setting out works accurately and efficiently. Ensuring works are constructed according to drawings and specifications. Quality control and assurance, including undertaking inspections and raising NCRs as required. Liaising with the site team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Maintaining accurate records, including daily diaries and progress reports. Assisting with the resolution of technical queries. Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.What We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects, ideally highways. Strong understanding of earthworks, structures, and utility diversions. Proficiency in setting out using surveying equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant CSCS card.
