The role involves working closely with team members to produce concrete in a safe, clean environment, ensuring the highest level of customer service. You will be responsible for the first impression regarding the cleanliness of the yard, plant, and facilities.
Key Accountabilities
1. Coordinate with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure the production of concrete/mortar meets customer requirements, maintaining optimum output, quality, and standards according to the Procedures Manual, Working Instructions, and Technical Instructions.
2. Regularly inspect and perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring cleanliness of mechanisms, plant area, buildings, and facilities, in line with standing instructions.
3. Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions following Environmental Procedures.
4. Ensure sufficient materials are available for production demands.
5. Inspect incoming materials and conduct weekly visual stock checks.
6. Enforce safety instructions for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
7. Review work methods and plant utilization to optimize resource use.
8. Comply with the Restrictive Trade Practices Act and other relevant legislation.
9. Adhere to Group and Regional Administrative instructions, preventing fraudulent activities.
10. Follow Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Company Safety Policy, and relevant legislation.
11. Update knowledge through training and professional development.
12. Comply with Personnel Policies and Procedures.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
14. Operate the batching plant and FEL to company standards, maintaining site presentation.
15. Maintain cleanliness throughout the site and facilities.
16. Batch concrete/mortar accurately when trained.
17. Ensure the plant is stocked with approved materials, checking stocks daily and verifying monthly with the supervisor.
18. Conduct routine maintenance and defect inspections, recording actions taken.
19. Report any defects or incidents that could impact health & safety, environment, or product quality.
20. Ensure compliance with policies on health & safety, environment, quality control, and fraud prevention.
Education/Qualifications
GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent to a C in Math and English.
