CLASS 1 DRIVER
MONDAY - FRIDAY
START TIME BETWEEN - 13:00 - 22:00
PAY RATE: £17.28 - £21.60 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Derby area.

Rates of Pay:
* Days: £17.28 per hour
* Overtime (paid after 9.5 hours): £21.60 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Trunking depot-depot (2-3) no handball (working on curtain-side delivering alcohol products)
* Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
* Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles
* Previous experience in multi drop experience
Training
* Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
* After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
* Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
