About The Role
* Lead strategy projects, working with a cross‑functional group of subject matter experts.
* Work closely with Research and Insight teams to ensure strategic recommendations are supported by robust insight.
* Use strategy tools and frameworks to support strategic thinking and effective challenge.
* Make strategic recommendations to the Executive and Board, with clear alignment to our Purpose.
* Coach other members of the team to develop their understanding of Royal London, the external environment, and strategic processes.
* Support business areas with local strategy projects, providing expertise as required.
* Manage aspects of internal processes, including the annual strategy review, strategic risk management, strategy execution, and strategy communication to colleagues across the business.
About You
* Proven experience in strategy development and execution.
* Strong interest in and ability to understand customer needs and expectations, and market trends, and to translate this into what it means for Royal London.
* Intellectual curiosity and experience using data and insight to inform strategic thinking and recommendations.
* Ability to write and articulate key issues and recommendations in a concise and compelling way.
* A desire to work for a truly purpose‑driven organisation and alignment to the Spirit of Royal London values – we achieve, we are trustworthy, we are empowered, we collaborate.
* Strong understanding of the risk management framework.
* Experience working in Financial Services and/or Consulting, and experience in the long‑term savings, insurance and asset management industry would be beneficial.
