Maintenance Technician
Core Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting/repairs on production and facility equipment; proactively identify and resolve recurring issues within the assigned area.
Conduct electrical and/or mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation, and controls.
Identify equipment deviations and document/communicate findings in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor and support contractors executing small maintenance projects.
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations, including ATEX, GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines.
Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
Maintain housekeeping, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards in line with company requirements.
Perform administrative tasks, including creating and closing work orders in the Maintenance Management System (SAP).
Support the Maintenance Lead/Supervisor in delivering technical training and tracking work order completion.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Academic Background
Vocational diploma in Technical Engineering or a related discipline (pre-university level).
Valid forklift certification required.
Certification in at least one of the following areas:
Pipefitting
Welding
Pumps
PLC
Electrical systems
Robotics
Equipment repair
Professional Experience
5-6 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations (experience in a matrix organization preferred).
Up to 1 year of people management experience is desirable.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) rules and regulations.
Basic working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Proficient in safely using hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly, and testing of electronic, pneumatic, and electrical devices.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills (e.g., welding, plumbing, pipefitting, electrical systems).
Ability to read, sketch, redline machine and process drawings, and write clear, concise technical instructions
